Clear Third Brake Light Porsche 996 C2, C4, TT 99-05 description
Vivid Racing now carries these OEM quality 3rd brake lights in either smoke or clear for you 99-05 Porsche 996 C2, C4, or Twin Turbo Porsche. They are a direct plug and play like the OEM red one. They are designed to replace the red brake light for a clean and sleak look. They also fit such high quality wings from MaShaw and others.

***Note on Turbo or GT2 cars:
There is a small gap between the light and the spoiler. This gap is barely noticeable. You can see the 2 Turbo cars using the light in the pictures here.. Most people have no issues with this. Because we are putting this disclaimer, order at your own risk for Turbo cars as there is NO returns. Light fits PERFECT on all Carrera cars.
Install Tips:
To remove the original 3rd brake light, you need to remove the cover on the right side of the lens, rotate the securing pin to the left and then you can remove the light unit.
When you plug in the connector and the light does not work when the brake pedals is pushed in, it will be necessary to swap the 2 wires that provide power to the brake light. Reason is that the LED’s inside the third brake light need to have the +12V and the ground connected in the correct way otherwise they will not light up.
There are 3 different ways to swap to polarity :
1) Remove the 2 contacts inside the connector with a very small thin bladed screwdriver.
2) Cut the wires and connect them in reversed order.
3) Cut the plastic edges on the top and the bottom of the white connector on the 3rd brake light so you can push on the connector when it’s rotated 180°.
