Hella TC-400 Tire Pressure Monitoring System description
Hella's TC-400 Tire Pressure Monitor offers a fully active, radio-controlled system for permanent monitoring of tire pressure and temperature. High-tech sensors are permanently mounted on the tire values and transmit pressure and temperature by radio to the central unit, which in turn forwards this data to the cockpit display.
In the event of sudden pressure loss, the control unit triggers an optical and acoustic alarm via the display positioned in the cockpit. Additionally, the system also warns of slow loss of pressure and of excess pressure. With the TC-400, drivers of passenger cars no longer have to stop their vehicles to check their tire pressure. The tires can be checked at any time, even on the move, at the push of a button, adding to the driver's comfort and safety.
A unique feature of the TC-400 is the adjustable background color of the display that allows the look to be optimally matched to the vehicle-specific instrument lighting.
The system consists of four sensor valves, an electronic control unit, and an adaptable-color display. In addition, a maximum of three sensors for spare tires can be added to the system. The sensors will fit all wheels with traditional valve placement. Reverse "flat-lip" wheels with 90-degree valves will need an additional mount. These mounts are sold in packs of four.
