We have 3 Perrin short shifter kits for the Mazda Protege cars for 2003 and up. They are a CLEARANCE ITEM. The PERRIN Performance short shifter gives the driver full control over shift length, knob height and positioning.
The PERRIN short shifters revolutionary design allows quick and easy, infinite adjustment of shifter throw from 0 to 1000% shorter then stock. PERRIN Performance has become the leading choice for tuners because of its ability to adjust knob height and position. Tuners can bring the knob towards or away from the driver for a custom grip placing the shifter in the optimum position for performance driving.
All steel construction makes the knob virtually unbreakable. Use the stock shift knob or upgrade to the PERRIN Performance shift knob.
For this fitment our design team has produced a unique sliding adjustable pivot ball allowing the user to custom tailor shift throw, knob height and horizontal positioning. Once installed the shifter rod can freely move within the pivot ball allowing the user to tune the short shifter characteristics from the driver seat. Move the shift knob up or down. Forward or backward. Toward the driver or away. All of this and a shorter throw.
